The Plant City Economic Development Corp. hosted a ribbon cutting Tuesday, Aug. 30, for joining the Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce.
The newly-formed Plant City EDC started from what Chairman Randy Larson called a “dream” in 2015, to a functioning body with a board focused on economic growth. It has grown from 20 members to 56 members.
“It’s a turning moment for Plant City to revitalize the economic vitality of this community,” Larson said to a packed group at the new EDC office on Reynolds Street in Historic Downtown Plant City.
“It’s a blessing to have bricks and mortar, a place to call home,” EDC President Jake Austin said about the two-story office.
