Jim Scott

Jim Scott , GM at Jarrett Scott Ford of Plant City serves as Secretary/Treasurer of the Plant City EDC. Jim was born and raised in Troy, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. He attended Michigan State University and graduated in 1993 with a bachelor’s degree in General Business Administration. Before going to work for Ford Motor Company in 1995 he worked in sales and marketing for the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Pistons. Ford Motor Company transferred Jim to Orlando in 1996 where he worked as a sales representative calling on dealerships throughout the state. It was during this time that he formed a business relationship with the Jarrett family that eventually led to him leaving Ford Motor Company to join the Jarrett’s organization in 1999. He has since become a partner in the Jarrett’s Ford dealership network and has spent time running the Dade City and Plant City locations.
