Karen Kerr, President, South Florida Baptist Hospital, serves as Chair of the Plant City EDC.

Since 1953, South Florida Baptist Hospital has been Plant City’s trusted community hospital for all health and wellness needs, and was built on quality, compassionate care.

Why did you get involved in the EDC?    

I am a firm believer in Plant City and all it has to offer.  We have the right government and business environment, the right tax climate, plenty of utility capacity to handle growth, excellent schools, available labor force, great transportation infrastructure and plenty of entitled land that is ready for development.  Add to that 7 colleges and universities within an hour drive and you have a city that is the perfect place for any company to relocate.
