Plant Electrician Shift II

Overview

The plant electrician provides technical expertise in a supportive role to all areas of our operation.  This position reports directly to the Technical Manager and VP of Operations.

This position is currently on a 12 hour rotating schedule, with weekends and overtime possible during peak season and heavy demands.  Typical week = four days on and four days off.

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED is preferred
  • Coursework/Certification in Electrical Engineering is preferred

 

Skills Required:

 Must have minimum of 5 years’ experience as certified electrician

  • Must have experience with 3 phase 480 .
  • Must have strong electrical/electronics knowledge.
  • Experienced in P.L.C., AC Drivers, DC Drivers, Motors, Starters, VFD’s, Servodrives.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot PLC’s.
  • Must be able to read electrical schematics.

Is responsible for all phases of facility storage and shipping operations in a safe and efficient manner and for properly completing necessary paperwork and scanning functions. MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - Plastipak Packaging, Inc.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Responsibility for by troubleshooting and maintaining all plant equipment with an overall objective of increasing business objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains, troubleshoots and services all plant equipment.
  • Adheres to the plant preventives maintenance program as outlined in PICS and follows proper work order procedures.
  • Locates parts efficiently and effectively utilizing proper parts room checkout procedures.
  • Attends required training sessions to increase knowledge base.
  • Performs all assigned work in a safe manner, upholding Plastipak Environmental, Health, and Safety Policy.
  • Performs product changeover on all plant equipment and verifies processes are reliably operating to achieve plant measurables.
  • Involved in installation projects and/or modifications.
  • Responsible for maintaining ISO standards.
  • Miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned.
  • Responsible for reporting food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 2-year degree or prior work experience.
  • Team oriented in all job functions.
  • Self-motivated and flexibility of job assignment.
  • Blend of technical, interpersonal skills and continuous learning through training.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
  • Basic computer skills.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Successful completion of required skill blocks.
  • SAP Basics.
  • Process thinking.
  • Successful completion of all site required safety training.
  • Accident investigation training.
  • Forklift training & certification.
  • Conversion Work Instructions Checklist.
  • Successful completion or progression towards completion of Sidel Technical Training Checklist (30, 90 day checklist).
  • Successful completion or progression towards completion of Level 1 and Level 2 training.
  • Process Technician Quality Training Checklist.
  • SAP Transactions relating to position including Downtime Notification, Reliability Report, Work Orders, Sales Order Monitor, etc.
  • SAPQM training.
  • Parts Room training.
  • Preventative Maintenance and Changeover Duties.

  • Standing/walking continuously during entire shift.  Frequently walking is performed at a moderate pace in order to respond to machine and equipment breakdown.
  • Able to lift 40 lbs. continuously; and able to lift 70 lbs. occasionally with assistance.
  • Postural activities include climbing, maneuvering, bending, stooping, kneeling. Crouching, crawling above, under and around machinery, equipment and conveyors continuously throughout entire shift.
  • Reaching, handling, touching grasping machine parts, controls, control panels, levers, switches continuously while repairing machines.
  • Continuously use the bilateral upper extremities to reach, handle, grip and grasp, push and pull, finger and feel, turn, wrench, etc.  Forceful grasping, pinching, pushing, and pulling with hand tools to diagnose and repair machinery and equipment.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, platforms and scaffolding to repair machine and equipment frequently throughout entire shift.
    Ability to work in non-permit required confined spaces and at heights of 15’ to 20’.
  • Overtime required per schedule, 7-day week operation.

CONVERSION TEAM LEADER - Plastipak Packaging, Inc.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for the overall performance of a shift. Monitors and approves necessary setting adjustments. Ensures preventative maintenance requirements are done as outlined by machine specification and preventative maintenance guidelines. Has a working knowledge of various product orders by following all material requirements and customer requests. Ensures quality control checks are being done, ad helps maintain customer requirements, according to specifications. Ensures correct housekeeping procedures on machinery and in designated work area are maintained. Attends training sessions and conducts team meetings.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitates scheduled work orders.
  • Relieves Technicians for breaks.
  • Relieves for vacations.
  • Ensures that all materials to fulfill the work orders that are present.
  • Coordinated team meetings.
  • Monitors all Quality Documentation ensuring all is in compliance.
  • Converses Maintenance Technician to prioritize work to be completed on the line.
  • Works with new team members to train on line and on auxiliary equipment.
  • Responsible for production data that is to be correctly entered into PICS / Iconics.
  • Responsible for monitoring sales orders for finished goods.
  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of motivation.
  • Ensures GMP and safety policies are followed.
  • Responsible for maintaining ISO standards.
    Initiate action for food safety issues.
  • All other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Associates Degree or higher preferred; Relevant experience will be considered.
  • Team Oriented.
  • Self-motivated in all job responsibilities.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Effective time management.

Our company is looking for an Accounting Clerk to perform clerical duties and ensure accuracy of financial records. The successful candidate will be responsible for reconciling accounts payable and receivable accounts, balancing department budgets, invoicing clients, ensuring prompt payment of invoices. General Description

  • Recording credit card transactions and invoices by analyzing various documents. Determine expense accounts, cost centers, and ensure they have all approvals necessary

  • Collections
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
  • Time sheet review and entry, payroll processing, distribution

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Associates degree
  • 5 years of relevant Accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and QuickBooks

  • Ability to meet all assigned deadlines
